Welcome to the brand new Slipper Orchid Forum, the first and only forum dedicated to slipper orchids. This site is still work in progress, so please feel free to join and participate. Remember, registration is FREE! I would like to thank all the new members who joined and the guests who took the time to visit. I would also like to thank Rainbow Computers for donating the space to make The Slipper Orchid Forum possible!

Forum Rules and Guidelines

1- Please do not post anything inappropriate, offensive, insulting, derogative, material that is libelous, defamatory or unlawful, or that violates or infringes any trademark, copyright or similar rights of others. No advertisement/spam allowed. In general, all members should use good judgment in posting links to other sites. References to information relevant to an ongoing discussion are helpful and appreciated. Using SOF to promote another site is not.

2- SOLICITATIONS FROM VENDORS WHO ARE NOT FORUM SPONSORS PUBLICLY ON THE FORUM AND OR USING THE FORUM EMAIL FUNCTION TO ADVERTISE AND TO SOLICIT IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED AND FOR THAT REASON, THEIR PRIVATE MESSAGING WILL BE DISABLED UNLESS THEY DECIDE TO BECOME SPONSORS FOR THE FORUM. To contact other members who are vendors and not forum sponsors, please use your regular email systems and NOT the forum private messaging system. Members who abuse the private messaging system will have their private messaging revoked and or have their accounts suspended. Members are also encouraged to report that kind of activity to the administrator immediately. If you are interested in renting web space and advertising your business on the forum, please contact the administrator.

3- All posts must be in English. Do not pretend to be/represent somebody else. Your account will be deleted if found to be in breach of this rule.

4- Do not post links in your signatures.

5- MEMBERS WHO ARE COMMERCIAL AND PRIVATE VENDORS BIG OR SMALL (INCLUDING "HOBBYISTS" WHO HAVE ONLINE STORES SELLING ORCHIDS AND OTHER MERCHANDISE), ARE NOT PERMITTED TO SELL AND TRADE PLANTS/MERCHANDISE, SELF PROMOTE AND OR BLATANTLY/INDIRECTLY ADVERTISE THEIR WEBSITES AND BUSINESSES HERE ON THE FORUM UNLESS THEY ARE SPONSORS FOR THE FORUM. MEMBERS WHO ARE RELATIVES, FRIENDS AND EMPLOYEES OF VENDORS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO ADVERTISE. Those who refuse to obey our rules will have their accounts suspended. Do not post links to your plants listed for sale on other websites for example Ebay etc.

6- All forums are moderated and we reserve the right to delete any message for any or no reason and explanation whatsoever. You remain solely responsible for the content of your messages, and you agree to indemnify and hold harmless, The Slipper Orchid Forum and their agents with respect to any claim based upon transmission of your message(s). We reserve the right to revoke your membership to the forum or disable your posting ability for any or no reason whatsoever. The opinions and comments made in the posts written by our members are the responsiblity of the individual member. The Slipper Orchid Forum assumes no responsibility of the content expressed or implied by its membership.

7- Harassing or threatening other members either privately or publicly will not be tolerated. Members who do not obey the rules will be reprimanded and eventually be banned from the forum if they continue to disobey our rules. No personal attacks! Treat other members with respect, we are all here to share information and our passion for slipper orchids.

8- No spamming allowed. Please report all spamming to the administrator immediately.

9- We protect our members' right of privacy, their email addresses are not sold to third parties or given out and private messages are not read by administrators or moderators unless they are sent directly to them.

10-These rules may be revised from time to time. Members are responsible for periodically reviewing these rules to ensure compliance. If you have any questions about any particular rule(s) email any one of our moderators or the owners of this board. Forum rules & guidelines are not up for debate. This is not a democracy but rather a private forum and NOT a public forum. Anyone openly debating the rules we have set in place will be removed. If you do not accept the rules, then simply do not register and visit this site.
