Question Growing sensitive plants

This year I planted some mimosa pudica seeds and some actually grew, this is my first time growing them and had a few questions.

I have a big box of schults plant food its a 32-10-10 is the nitrogen to high?

I plan on putting them in a plastic pot its about 4 inches across and 5 inches high it will be big right now but since I have read that these plants grow like weeds I figured the pot would not be big for long.

Also I was thinking of putting them in a mix sponge rock from firstrays so its slightly small size to call Grade 3, but coarser than the #2 material, is that a good size? Then I was going to mix it with peat moss.

and any other tips you can give me on growing this plant would be greatly appreciated

I have never heard of this plant before, is it a tropical plant? Bush or Tree? It does sound tropical to me.

Will they survive in Michigan where you are? I guess you grow them inside the house or do you have a greenhouse?

Are they flowering ornamental plants or edible fruit bearing plants?
