Saving a Caladenia orchid - Conservation article
Rare and really interesting orchid nearly at extinction. It lives about 20 minutes from me and apparently it's being monitored closely by camera, only two left that are known of. It disappeared in 1927 and then was rediscovered a few years ago but only the two plants remain. In the article they have mentioned its location as east of Melbourne but in fact it's west. I guess they are trying to throw people off the path and I don't blame them as we can't afford to lose this one. It's a beauty.

That is just so wonderful that they are saving it! Flower resembles those of the Brassavolas, very pretty!
