Now for something a little different. here are some shots of two of my Arisaema, both grown from seed. The first is the common eastern jack-in-the-pulpit, A. triphylla

The second is an Asian species called A. sikkokianum...quite beautiful in a bizarre way (but hey, some orchids are pretty bizarre and we like them that way!)

Hey that's pretty cool:thumbsup:

Are you growing them in pots? I have some transplanted into our yard, and they produce seed each year just about. I have seen a few babies, but not many considering how much seed I see being produced.

Beautiful! I saw a bunch of them last weekend when I went for a nice walk in the woods here in Maine. Two years ago, I even found one that was about 6 feet tall with a huge flower and huge leaves, the biggest one I ever saw!

I grow lots of different kinds (sikkokianum is my fav though) outside here. Part of the arum (aroids) family, they are akin to amorphophallus, which you true plant geeks oughta check out. I currently have a 3 foot high (andsome babies as well) Amorphophallus Titanum as house plants. It'll be several years before any of them will bloom.. Thank god, because, they are "fragrant", even if only for a day, and that'll be enough to drive me out of the house. It is also called Corpse flower. Google it. Most of the major botanical gardens have one, and always post pix when they bloom. Should be right up you guys's, um, alley.

Rick, I grow mine in the open garden...I already have too many plants in pots...primarily my Lewisia collection.

We actually just had a thread that showed a link to a titanum in bloom. I really want a titanum, but I only have some others right now.

I actually have some of the Common american arisaema, and some of the alba form of it. Then I have one of the 5 foot tall Arisaema plants.
I forgot to tell you how beautiful yours are!!
