I found out that here in Coastal South Carolina and North Carolina is one of the only places in the world where Venus Fly Traps grow naturally. Pretty amazing I killed mine pretty quick, No I wasn't poking it or feeding it...

Me too, it survived for about 5 months and then no new growths until it was gone.

I had a venus fly trap several years ago. I also had several Grandchildren. Between the Grandchildren and their friends the fly trap was doomed. I would like another one but ......now I have 14 Great Grandchildren. If I find one it will be put out of reach of tiny little hands.

Grandma (indeed!), you just need a venus fly trap like Marcus' avatar! But then you'd have to put the kids out of the reach of the plant, I guess!

I bought one of those venus flytrap starter kits on ebay and made a compot with the four plants. Then the company sent me a second kit. :Shh:
So, I made a second compot. I'll try to post pics later this week.
