Nothing to compare to what the cyp gods of this board can put up, but here is C. pubescens, second year of blooming for me. Pic is from about a week ago; the flower is just about done now. Note funny angle on the petals.

How did you manage to get it to bloom 3 - 4 weeks late? Is it in pot culture or you up in the Berkshires?
June 6th is a month late for a pubesens to be blooming!

RE: blooming time.
You know, I'm not sure why my blooming time is so late. I checked my records from last year, and this plant opened on May 24, done around June 3. This year, opened on May 28, done around June 8.
I live in E. MA, inside the 128 ring at around 150' elevation. Maybe something to do with the microclimate; stuck a shovel in the ground next to the cyp bed in early April and the ground was still frozen hard as a rock below 1" depth.
Any other NE growers want to compare blooming dates?
