A random yellow phal. It is Tatasuka something or another, I think. I'm going to keep this one because I like how the yellow doesn't fade on the older flowers.

For some reason I have several hundred phals in bloom right now. Only about 3 months after show season (and normal bloom season). I'll cut the spikes sometime soon to try to keep them on a normal schedule.

Nice colour, what mix are you growing your phals in?

I have one like that upstairs in my office, it is fragrant in the mornings. Very nice floral scent. Is your's fragrant? Mine's a NoID, but good for a work plant. Smells lovely!

We affectionately call it (around here) 'mud', 'mississippi mud', or 'black death', depending on how happy we are with the results...

Here is an article I co-wrote, many years ago... http://www.msu.edu/user/harveyb/mud.htm

This particular mix is a peat (and coco-peat) based soil free potting mix, small charcoal, and small perlite. Mixed until it looks right (3:1:1 or so). I can find the exact recipe if you need it. Some people add seedling bark. I don't...
