LOL...this is about half a mile from my house! We're talking a couple minutes driving!! Walking distance!!! Hmmm...LOL...it's for sale and I called the seller's agent and left a message...oops...I guess I should've called mine. I just want info...and I am enjoying the dream of owning that...LOL...or renting!

WHERE ARE MY ENABLERS?!!!?!?!?!??!

The next 2-3 acres next to that is also filled with GHs. I wanted to see about renting one of them and saw this for sale. Next door they do plant rentals for movies and TV and next to that there are garden nurseries. Maybe someday I can take over all of them....

Looks great, Ralph! Hope you start a slipper business and then you can supply slippers to movie and TV sets, I'm so tired of seeing only Phals on every TV show, commercials and movies and it's about time we see multifloral Paphs and Phrags! :D

"Ralph, the man who brings slippers to the stars!!!"

I love that!!! I think slippers would look better than Phals for those fancy weddings, too!

Hollywood Slippers!

I just dove by again to get the addy and I noticed another one that looks like it is not in use. It also has two GHs. Darn! I have to start work now...I guess I'll get data tomorrow...or tonight, online, if I can figure out what site has listings.

:iagree: I have always wondered if slippers were ever used for weddings and I think they would look great AND different from the usual boring flowers! I'm picturing some rich couple (probably some big movie stars) ordering dozens of cut sanderianum flowers for the wedding! I wonder how much a dozen cut sanderianum flowers would cost? I bet that has never been done before!

Ralph,
Live in one, and keep the slippers in the other!! That can be yoru excuse to the wifey!!

I should move to california and buy a GH like that! I bet you the heating is not that much at all!! What are the dimensions? You know, you should pace yourself if you buy that one. You probably can't get much bigger unless you are selling slippers like snap. Do you know how much it costs?

Ahhh...no way! One would have to charge and arm and a leg for each stem! How would I find 50 stems of sanderianum...how could I cut them!!! Lowii would look nice...or double delenatii.

I've done centerpieces for a couple weddings for family and friends. I also did a party for a blessing (kinda like a baptism). The parents told me that my the decorations and arrangements were nicer than what they had for thier wedding!

Sometimes all it takes is one RIGHT client for a business to take off!

Sanderianums are rare so where would one get cut Sanderianum flowers? If they do...it would cost them an arm and a leg for sure!

I would not have the heart to cut any sanderianum stems! But if the rich and famous folks want to pay big bucks for expensive flowers for their weddings then that would be another story.

I've been thinking about what you said, there, Nick. I thought it was strange. But after a while...I like that idea. I love GH "weather." We could be on one of those shows where people live in bizarre houses. Hmmmm....a GH house. It would have to have plastic furniture or something that wouldn't get destroyed by humidiy....maybe teak? We could sleep on hammocks. It certainly would be nice to see slippers all over the house....on dressers, side tables, night stands....heck any flat surface! HECK...EVERY FLAT SURFACE! I like the idea....could I convince my wife that we should sell our house and make a home in a GH?

Only in my dreams!!!

I will fall asleep tonight with a smile on my face!

Budsbud<--------dreaming sweetly!

Ralph

Before retirement, we had a greenhouse, selling to floral shops (no orchids). My husband spent so much time in it that I always said, "some day I'm going to write a book".........."I Married a Greenhouse". I never wrote the book, but your wife may want to think about writting one. Possibly "I Married a Slipper Orchid Lover".
