They are so beautiful. I have always loved azalea blooms. At one time I lived in Georgia and had a yard full of them. What a welcome to spring they give us.

Yep Tree peony. They bloom a few weeks before the more common lactiflora hebaceous types and the flowers are much larger.

George, I love these Peonies.
I bought some with pictures on the boxes just like that. Turn out they grow into single layer petals (damn ugly, can't believe the nursery's supplier could be so shady!) try to kill it for seems like forever, no matter how many times I dig & cut, it keeps coming back.:eek:

Beautiful flowers. Here in Reno, they are just starting to flower especially the peonies.
