...well kind of. I do admire there persistance! I've been spending so much time in the garden weeding! I just can't wait for those plants to fill in so they can just cover those darn suckers! Till then....
I love that orchids don't need weeding...acutally I do have one with weeds...how they got there...I don't know! I can't wait to repot it and get them all out completely!

I know they suck! When I was in Chicago at the botanic gardens, the scourge of our existence was Buckthorn. Damn thing is a tree, and if you see just a little shoot, chances are theres a decent chunk of stem underground that you often can't seem to get. Thistle is possibly the worst weed i've had to deal with though!!

I have all kinds of weeds growing in my slippers in the fall when they are back indoors for the winter, mostly the usual weedy non native Norway maple seedlings growing out of my slippers. They are also all over my yard and I hate them, they are so invasive and killing our native trees.

Wow...I had no idea those buggers could grow in the orchid medium! The one that I have that has weeds in it, has so many roots that I can't even see the medium!
I used an action hoe in the yard today. It was so fun...at first. It does make weeding faster but as soon as the novelty of it wore off...it became the same old chore.
I did, on a high note, plant the sunflower and zinnia seedlings! Some were chewed up by snails. I've noticed some baby snails. I killed their parents and now I am after thier offspring! They destroyed almost an entire coleus overnight! :mean:
The crows love that I chuck snails into the street. It's my propitiation to them. They used to pull my little transplants out of the ground. I used to chase them away until somebody told me that they remember when you are mean...LOL...No more problems with them since I feed them snails!

I never really knew weeds until I moved to Florida during the rainy season.

My flowers don't seem to be the only plants benefitting from my fertilizer and watering.
