View Full Version : The World's Smallest Banana
Paphy57 March 29th, 2007, 05:22 PM I believe that this is the world's smallest banana tree at the moment! LOL!
I just divided It, and potted it in what could be the world's smallest pot! There is a ruler in the pic for scale, I believe that it is a towering 2 inches including the pot.
I thought that it deserved a good name, so I named it Helen Dallimore.

I don't know much about bananas (I'm up here in Canada). How big will it be to bloom?
Paphi March 30th, 2007, 08:56 AM so cute:heart:
Paphy57 March 30th, 2007, 09:46 PM 3-6 feet to bloom and make bananas
smartie2000 March 30th, 2007, 10:07 PM cool, then one could get one of these mini bananas indoors
Paphy57 March 30th, 2007, 10:12 PM There is smaller, I have one (the smallest in the world) That flowers at 1 foot!
NanNerTroPiKs7 March 30th, 2007, 10:38 PM Little prince hardly ever flowers normally though, not really much of an excitement. Super dwarf cavendish is the best flowering banana that is the smallest. It will flower at 3 ft minumum and about 5 ft max, anything above that is considered a dwarf cavendish because they are they exact same thing just one is mutated (super dwarf) so really the only thing that classifies this specific type is height. :woohoo:
hjohn March 30th, 2007, 11:07 PM Tiny and real cute!!
