This was a first time bloomer from last summer. It is currently in bud with 3 big fat buds. Should bloom any day. The flowers are about 3-4 inches across and last about 3 days.

I just came in from the greenhouse and two of the three flowers are open. They are very fragrant and they are 6 inches across!

Excellent! Fragrance is always a plus.

Beautiful example of this specie. I love the smell of these. There is another Stanhopea that smells like york peppermint patties. The only problem with these is the blooms only last a few dats. Nicely photgraphed(good angle).

Deep smell of a combination of spices. I really can't guess.
