Does anyone have an Olaf Gruss, what's the coloring? variable? I had a compot from Chuck Acker, he used besseae flavum. I've been shopping & picked up a nice 2growth plant/seedling for $5!!! Yes that's no typo - $5 -I'll try to post picture.

Yup! It started blooming in 10-06, and is still going strong.

mine is fairly close in color to Dot's, I wonder what it will look like made with a flavum. Where did you find that bargain. Here is mine for comparison. Dot, how many growths do you have on yours. I find this one a bit of a reluctant bloomer.

Ron - I got it at Oak Hill Gardens in IL. They rescued plants from a deceased orchid person's collection in Iowa. There were some duplicate plants(not many) but not Olaf or the other phrags I got - a nice 3growth HannaPopow
($15), BarbaraLeann 1strong BS growth($12), the dealesandro, which appears to be bessX -$10, Paphs - Tyke(barb. x henry.)$10, & 2 villosum v.boxalli -one single growth & 1 w/2growths$12.50. Some of the plants have some growing to do but I repotted all to see what the roots are like, which were pretty decent & put them in my mix, so I'm hopeful. Time will tell if they were a bargain!

Mine's a young plant -- 3 growths. It actually has spikes on two growths, but one of them seems to be stuck and is not developing properly. Maybe all the energy is going into the one that's in bloom.
