Hi,

a year and half ago I bought a paph in a very poor condition on discount determined to save him from doom. I also bought 2 other paphs, one is paph argus and the other is paph argus x. I also grow various other orchids and carnivorous plants. This paph had only 2 leaves and was full of insects, mostly centripeds and had no living roots. However, it managed to push two new growths along with new roots.

But it has been a year and a half and it is growing very slowly. I know it won't flower until it grows to full size to bloom but I am wondering if it will ever grow to full size. I think part of the problem is that I am treating it the same as my arguses, which will flower for the 2nd time soon (they are pushing buds right now), but as I don't really know what kind of paph it is, I don't know how to treat it.

So my question is, can anybody give me at least approximately some kind of list of most commonly sold varieties of this one, I am sure I have nothing exotic and rare, just to point me in some direction, maybe I figure a way to make it grow faster and hopefully flower.

Here is the pic of the poor thing, seems it is pushing a weird green growth between leaves, which I am sure it is not a flower:

The plant looks healthy and mature enough to bloom. The green thing looks like some kind of a weed.

The green thing is a new growth, yes I think it is ready to bloom too, but...nothing is happening.
