I think I have found an answer to; Yahoo has a area called yahoo groups (groups.yahoo.com) there is no charge to start your own group, well one of the options for your group is a 'database' they have several canned ones that you can choose or you can make your own.

this is the function that i am using, all you do is name the fields (there are 10 fields) what ever you wish and then input your collection, you can sort each one of the fields as you wish. my collection is now listed by

Genus:
Name:
Date Purchased:
Vendor:
Comments:
Date Spiked:
Date Bloom:
Date Bloom Ended:

so i now have my orchid colletion list online, accessible from anywhere, very simple and no cost! you also get 30 meg if you want to keep some pictures online also ....

perhaps someone else might like this option ......

Great tip, I'm afraid I've invested too much time into excel. I was going to try a funny name fore it, like other Micro"x" products, but figured it was a bit trite. :roll:

there is a function on the database for importing data, i have not tried it, but i would imagine that you could import your info from excel ...
