Actually, *this* is the real Beverly Fischer photo - I picked the wrong one by accident! So, which is better now? ;)

No, I just added it in. The first one was a mistake, but maybe second best of the lot I took the other day.

So, is it ready to be divided? What are the parents again? I don't remember. :cheeky:

Yes, that sounds about right. How big is the plant now? And how many growths?

Paphgirl

Two old growths, the one that just blooomed and a new one. 21" on the largest growth.

It smells lovely, like sweetened raspberries. YUM! Reminds me of raspberry sorbet!

Very nice Heather :clap2: Is the color on the petals two different shades? Or is it the lighting?

Yes, in fact on the back (somewhere I have a shot of this) the synsepal is white. The petals are sort of half light/half dark.

Here it is:

I really liked this one - broke the spike messing right as I was opening the last bloom.

Oh yeah, it is a good little phrag, but one heck of a climber.

First flower opened last night. No fragrance yet, but I expect some soon, it was lovely last year.
I love the (can you guess? wait for it....wait for it....) yellow staminoid! :D

This is an interesting flower because it is really two tone. Upper sepals are pink, lower are quite white. Dorsal pink, synsepal white. Pouch VERY much fischeri, even down to the yellow stripe going down the back of the inside to the bottom (I disected my fischeri bloom and discovered that.) Even SO commented on it, he thought it was "weird" but then said "unusual" that he'd never seen such a "black and white" two tone flower. It is, I'm not sure where it gets that from? The color break notorious in fischeri, or the color variability in St. Ouen? It's so uniform though - where does it get that trait? The last blooming was the same way. I'd be really interested to hear from Robert-Jan from OL about this, but he hasn't been around much lately.

It has a really nice (faint) fragrance, sweet raspberries! I'd think from the fischeri, but then again, I haven't lately heard of many fragrant fischeris, including mine!

That's a lovely flower. I've wanted to get fischeri and now that I've seen this one, I want it too!

I actually prefer this to fischeri at the moment (the horror! )
because of the fragrance and staminoid/form is better (at least compared to my first bloom fischeri seedling.)

That said, I have fishceri 'Jerry's Dream' and this was made with.... the same!! I was thinking, before I looked that it was made w/ 'Jerry's Best' which might have explained the issue. But no...
It's a sweet flower, I really like this hybrid, I think it is quite unique!
