View Full Version : Take a look at my deformed Wayne Booth ! avery May 22nd, 2005, 11:37 PM http://www.tigerorchid.net/bbs/attachments/2_835_1116752235.JPG http://www.tigerorchid.net/bbs/attachments/2_835_1116752178.JPG Paphgirl May 23rd, 2005, 05:28 AM Hahaha! Avery you are a tease! I started to think, what? Is he crazy? If that's deformed, I'll take it! But, then the second photo loaded  ....interesting! TADD May 23rd, 2005, 08:44 AM Still very Neat! I would love to have that! Not that bad of a deformity! Congrats! avery May 23rd, 2005, 10:10 PM I repotted the plants a month before the spike was sent ... that's why the first and second flowers were deformed ... Flower stem is also half of the expected height ... Hope it show me a more handsome spike 2 years later ... it has 2 baby growths right now only ... Paphraguy May 23rd, 2005, 11:13 PM Now that you have mentioned it, the first flower does have a deformed pouch and I didn't notice it the first time I looked at it. dustyatticstuff May 23rd, 2005, 11:21 PM Still so pretty. Nature is not perfect and does what it does. In that way, perhaps perfection is acheived in its own way. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, so they say. In this beholder's eye, it is lovely! avery May 23rd, 2005, 11:22 PM Not only the pouches but one of the petal as well .... one petal was found inside the pouches of the first and the second flower while they started to open. Those petals couldn't get out eventually ... I have to take it out myself and that's why one petal was underdeveloped ... You cannot see it since I purposely take the last 2 flowers as the center of the image and hide the problematic parts ! Clever ?! :D Paphraguy May 23rd, 2005, 11:26 PM Yep, Avery that was very clever photography! Anyway, hope the flowers come out perfect the next flowering session! How big are the flowers, btw? wolfcreekmn May 24th, 2005, 08:16 PM Look nice the way it is to me   avery May 24th, 2005, 10:09 PM I only measured NS since it apparently did not have its optimal performance shown ... NS = 23cm for the 3rd flowre. I cannot measure the 1st and the 2nd because one petal was underdeveloped ... Only the last 2 flowers were normal but they are smaller the other way round .... |
