Hi All,
I have recently come into a large supply of Cyp guttatum seed and I can't use it all. So, I have a total of 12 capsules to give away to the SOF, and I was thinking 2 capsules per package to make it worth your while. So if you're interested please leave a message here on the board. I'll give the lucky first six people my address so they can send me a self addressed stamped "envelope" for the capsules.

Notes:
1.) Please only respond if you're actually going to use them and not just let them sit in your fridge for 2 years.
2.) Please only respond if you're willing to sow these seeds in vitro. Other "methods" don't cut it. For newbies, we'll give you all the recommendations you can take.
3.) The "envelope" must be either a solid box, like a CD mailing box, or you must send 2 centrifuge tubes to contain your seed. Cyp seed crushes even in bubble envelopes. If anyone has 10 extra centrifuge tubes, feel free to help out.
4.) Cyp seed is perfectly legal to send anywhere in the world! It's CITES Appendix II.

I am just starting to do my own flasking and I have never tried any Cyp. Any suggestions for media selection would be appreciated.

Tom, I would suggest buying some Phytotech T839 for germination, and some Malmgrens and/or T842 for replates. I like T842 better since I tend to get bigger plants and I can see the roots better compared with Malmgrens. But with Malmgrens, you don't have to replate as often. Try both...

Anyone want to trade one of their guttatum pods? I have Cyp reginae, parviflorum, aucale, Rose Pogonia, platanthera orbiculata and huronensis and goodyera oblongifolia. I'm also looking for any of the NA native orchids, particularly Calopogon tuberosus and Arethusa bulbosa but any species will do. Either trade or purchase.
