Hi,

I'm working on a Connecticut native orchid collection. Some of the rarer orchids are hard to come by. I have a bog garden, and would like to try my hand at raising Arethusa bulbosa. I have been unable to find it anywhere, although I know that there are some individuals that have it in their gardens. Does anyone know where I could obtain a plant that wasn't collected from the wild? Or even a pointer to someone that has it, so that I could contact them directly, and ask where/how they obtained it?

Thanks.

Chris

This plant maybe quite difficult to obtain especially when it is now considered extinct in your state. Have you checked with your local Orchid Society and see if they have a member who grows this plant?

I hope that, if you find it, you will try and reproduce it, so it might be spread again..

If you find it have it cultivated. I think people would buy them and reintroduce them in the woods.
