Paphgirl May 27th, 2005, 09:03 PM Wow, that looks great! I wonder how that would do under fluorescents..
Obviously Eric can speak better to this, but from what I recall, it is a rather tall spiking hybrid. :?
wolfcreekmn May 27th, 2005, 09:04 PM Hi TADD that is where I have mine growing in a 90 gallon tank that I converted for my orchids with 2-40watt tubes and 2-65 compact tubes .
Thanks Heather, I also really like the colors.
Paphraguy May 27th, 2005, 09:56 PM I love this hybrid! Very nice!
Jon in SW Ohio May 28th, 2005, 07:01 PM That is one neat hybrid! I'll have to keep an eye out for it.
I finally ordered a klotzcheanum as it is one of my favorite Phrag. species...growths are almost tougher than Neofinetias, and unlike any other Phrag that I know of.
Thanks for sharing with us!
Jon
Park Bear May 31st, 2005, 11:38 AM very nice :clap2:

Jon, I am thinking about getting a neo, but know very little about them. Can you explain what you mean? Do you mean tough as in hard to kill, or tough as in tough to bloom or keep alive?
Thanks.
Eric, very nice plant. I try not to look at Phrags, so that my wishlist stays manageable...
nyorchids June 22nd, 2005, 09:17 PM very nice cross!
Jon in SW Ohio June 23rd, 2005, 01:06 AM Must have missed the end of this thread, sorry Marcus. What I was refering to was the physical leaf itself. They are very rigid like a cattleya leaf, and the plants look similar to Neos when young. The roots are also more rigid than most Phrags I've come across and all in all it is a very neat species.
As for the Neos, I've got a few varities and I just love them. I've got a variegated one, a yellow flowered one, a bean leaf one, and one with near blue flowers similar to the coloring of the hybrid Neostylis Lou Sneary. They are easy to grow, I use sphagnum mounds on specialized pots for them. I guess I need to start a new topic now. Stay tuned.
