the flower of a popular plant, here: Hibiscus schizopetalus.
Petals resemble the lace. It is one of the last flowers of the last year.

it is not able to grow in to much heavy shady conditions: a lot of sun and fertilizer is the secret!

Tasha January 23rd, 2011, 05:54 AM It's a common plant here, in Italy: a lot of growers grow it outside, in summer, and under glass, in winter: in the South of Italy, it grows outside all the year round and it is considered a "weed" as it makes big shrubs, very large and tall.
The flowers are outstanding but unscented.
