Hi friends

the flowers of some of my Nelumbo (Sacred lotus): they grow in small plastic pools. They need a lot of sun, fertilizer and sun.
Unfortunatly they grow too much.:(

In the North of Italy, nelumbos are fearsome weeds: they are able to stop the navigation on the river they live (like on the river named Mincio, near Mantua).

Lotuses need long, hot summers and to be heavily fertilized: they dislike shady, windy and coldy positions. Put the pools of your Lotus where they can get at leat 8 hours of full sun; on the contrary, they grow less and, in few year, the can die...
The water of the pool should reach 30C (much more is better) to encrease the activity of the plants.
In these conditions, Lotuses can bloom from the first year!:D
