Hi Daniel,

Thanks for joining the SOF and welcome! I live in the US but here is a LINK (http://www.users.on.net/~gmcorbin/BOS/Nursery.html) for you. :D Hope this helps! Please tell us about yourself and what you grow.

Hi Daniel

I don't grow Phrags myself, so I'm not speaking from experience. John Robertson (Robertson Orchids) and P&R orchids would be worth a try. They have divisions available from time to time.

older reasonable sized plants -- P & R orchids - even Ezi-gro here in W A
have nice size plants again older varities --some home made crosses too.
for Newer plants 4N 's jason fischer -twilght rising etc I'd contact Robertson's -they have with a phrag grower there a Mr Doug Matters -He has Just the best phrags ever --but then prices come into the equaision .newer ones are small seedlings from $25-45 each . where most of older ones you can get nice size ones for about $15 -35 You need to contact the nurseries as they don't always have a lot of these and don't always put them in catalogues. you be surprized what you end up with .
good luck nice to see another phrag grower here in aust.

G'day Daniel,

welcome on board mate...

Billie and Dave's recommendations are very good.. I've bought plants from all of those nurseries..

If you're not in any rush, there's also an Orchid Fair at St Ives in mid-August.. there will be quite a lot of different vendors there.

Also, if you're not doing anything next week, from the 20th to the 23rd is the Australian Orchid Conference.. that's happening at Port Macquarie though, so you might need to get your folks to drive you up there...

cheers,
tim

Hey Daniel

There's also Nicky Zurcher (08 8380 9360 - no web presence and only takes cash or cheque) has some very nice plants but a limited range. Species Plus
(miles@netconnect.com.au ) in Victoria also have some nice plants.

John Robertson sells phrags grown by a guy called Doug Matters who lives on the Sunshine coast near the nursery there. Doug has a really nice setup and can be contacted at dmatters@westnet.com.au. Dark Star orchids sometimes also have some phrags - they've definitely got slippers.

P & R Orchids are the dark horse - last year they acted as agents for a private collector and sold a number of otherwise hard to get phrags via their mailing list. They sent there west coast mail out first. Plants were all gone when I called them :(

shows are where you can also find hidden gems - I got a small roezlii for $15.00 last year.

Good luck

Cheers
Stephan
