I feed this Clematis with the runoff from watering my orchids.I use mainly natural ferts & this seems to suit the plant very well.This plant is pretty old , apparantly it has been growing since the 1930's.

Flowers are 8"+ & flowers again later in the year with smaller but more abudant .
Colours are very accurate except the purpleish hue @ the edges is more vivid.

That is beautiful! I love these but it gets too hot here to grow them.

I Love the blues I have a blue Will Goodwin never saw it bloom but there are a few fat buds on it this year keeping my fingers crossed. Last time at this stage it got wilt overnight and the buds were history. Thought I'd lost the plant as well ubt I didn't disturb anything and it came up again .

That is beautiflu Dwayne, and I can vouch for the blue.
Tennessee is clematis country, and lots of people grow them around their mail boxes and various other vine support places.

Wonderful, I had several vines that some landscape workers pulled up, thought they were weeds, when I can home I just couldn't believe it. some came back up but my Gernsey Cream never recovered. I had Niobe, Hagley Hybrid that were Bearutiful....I think that color is absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing.
