I am very limited here in Atlanta in places to purchase phrags. Can anyone recommend any greenhouses on-line that offer blooming size phrags at reasonable prices? I know many forum members purchase phrags as seedlings but I am not sure if I have that much patience.....yet. As you all know some of the blooming size phrags can be quite expensive and I guess it is based on supply and demand as well as the years it takes for a phrag to become BS.

Hmmm, the term "reasonable" might have different meanings for different people! Certainly browse through the selections that our forum sponsors offer (links at the top of the page). Also if you PM them, sometimes they may have something available in your price range that isn't necessarily listed on the website. Also Oak Hill Gardens and Parkside offer BS plants at pretty reasonable prices.

I grew up in Atlanta. The Atlanta Orchid Company usually has some very nice plants.

Windy Hill Gardens (Marilyn Ledoux) is one of my favorite vendors for Phrags. She's in Labadie, Missouri. Be sure to ask her if she has something you are particularly wanting, she often has more phrags than her list indicates, and often mature sizes. Excellent plants and reasonable prices.

Other than that, I get most of my Phrags from Orchids Ltd.

thanks so much for your help. I guess it is common for members of this forum to be absolutely hooked on orchids. BTW... my Belle Hogue Point should be blooming in the next couple of weeks!!

Orchids Limited and Windy Hill are two of my favorites as well. You could also try Piping Rock Orchids and Orchid Babies. I have purchased several large phrags from each of the above vendors.

I second Piping Rock also, I just don't tend to buy a lot of Phrags from Glen, cause he always brings huge Sorcerer Apprentice types to the shows he frequents around here.

I always want the ones in his displays!

Is Atlanta Orchid Company still open? There website is horrendous. It hasn't been changed in years.
