Lovely! I just think the dark petals are such a wonderful contrast on this species, I love dianthum also! Two great ones.

Beautiful. I desperately want this species but am having trouble locating one here in Australia. I spoke to one nursery and they said they have a queue around the block waiting for divisions. They are being offered $500 for a piece. Another nursery has single growth plants for about $170 but they are jungled collected. Isn't that illegal? Apart from the fact I feel it is morally wrong, I would much rather have a better quality line bred plant. Another nursery told me the problem with parishii is it is almost impossible to breed. In fact he said you won't find a parishii in this country within 15 years. So his advice was if you find one, get it at any price. I have never seen a seedling offered in this country ever. Just the odd division. There is such a high demand for this species here, you would think seedlings would be regularly available. So maybe he is right.

Actually I did get a small piece recently, but it had rot and had to be thrown out. It is a long story but suffice to say I did my $50. I'll just keep on searching. Maybe one day.

Hi David,

Check out http://www.woolforchidculture.com/. They have some seedlings going for about 9 bucks!
