Does anyone know the parents of Wossner Gaymic? My Wildcatt update is from last fall and does not show this hybrid. I found a picture on Dr. Tanaka's wbsite: http://www.orchid.or.jp/orchid/people/tanaka/Dome05/DomePaph003.html

Thanks,
Ross

probably a typo, likely to be Wossner Greyimic.

this guy almost single-handedly keeps the RHS in business.

Wossner Greyimic = Greyi x micranthum. That's most likely it, judging from the shape. The color is mostly white with no color from the micranthum.....very interesting.

May I suggest another way?

Try this link;

http://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/registration_orchids.asp

Two ways to search -

Grex name gives you parents
Parentage gives you registered name(s)

Bye all

Dear Slipperfriends,
Paph. Wössner Greyimic was made by Franz Glanz from Unterwössen in Bavaria in South-Germany in the same valley where I live.
The plant was really the Paph. Wössner Greyimic but made with the albine form of Paph. micranthum, which have the official name forma glanzeanum.
It is really a very nice plant which grows very well and flowered one time per year

With best greetings

Olaf

A very interesting result has brought the cross between Paph. Greyi and Paph. micranthum forma glanzeanum, the albine form.

The clone was shown in a japanese orchidjournal
