Hello all! I was thinking of getting another Phrag caudatum but since I have very little experience, would it be better if I get a hybrid instead like a Phrag Grande or is the species also easy to grow one? Thanks for any replies!

I would recommend a Phrag Grande for beginners. Caudatums are very slow growers and hard to grow.

I agree with Casey's advice. Start out with a hybrid first.

Another easy hybrid for beginners is Phrag Paul Eugene Conroy which is very similar to Grande.

I saw one in bloom at a nursery. It was beautiful.

That is a great second suggestion.

I notice that phrags are your favourite slipper orchid so undoubtedly you have read all you can on them. That being the case don't be frightened of any of them be they specie or hybrid give them all a go you might find that they are as easy as each other !
Good LUCK.
