By the way I have a culture question. How do I know when a purpurea (like the one you have in your first pic) wants to be repotted?

i had one i was vernalizing outside, then a 'helpful' member of the greenhouse staff cleaned up the outside beds and didn't notice that purple didn't mean dead...guess it is now that's it's at the landfill....

Hey Nynaeve,
You can repot them anytime. Though early spring is the best time to repot them because of no transplant shock. I do not repot any Sarracenia during ths growing season. Hope this helps.
