gotta start somewhere. i know i did...
if you can, and you're interested in instant gratification as i am, you might want to get some blooming sized or blooming plants.

Yessss, I lured Marco over here to the dark side - where all of us crazies can corrupt him further.

Incidentally, I noticed that Parkside has quite a few overstock specials right now on spiking multi florals.
I'm evil I know...
I just had my 2 years as a paph nut anniversary this week though and you know, pay it forward and all that. ;)

Nynaeve - oooohhh yeahhh! Whenever I have nothing to do at work you'll find me drooling over the the multiflorals especially polyantha hybrids. I'm a complete sucker for the long petals :D .

likespaphs - Everyone at OSF, where Heather found me, said the same thing so I put aside 150, of my shopping spree budget , for a blooming size plant or two. And I totally agree with the accelerated gratification. Three to fours years is a loooonng time. I'm just searching around first see whats out there.

Heather - you're evil evil evil, thanks for bringing me here. :laugh2:. Yeah I saw parkside already. I also pmed Anne C., from osf dunno if shes a member here, to ask her about stock at peach state. And I'm waiting for fox valley to get back to me. I want to know whats out there before I purchase. because afterwards im going to be a hermit at home. eating rice and beans while studying and bothering all of you here.:p

ok ok I really have to go now. marias gonna be pissed if im late

Nope not seedlings. The michael koopowitz, (michael koopowitz x adductum) and the angel hair are at least 19" ls. The michael koopowitz has 1 new start. And the (michael koopowitz x adductum) has 1 mature growth 1 tiny growth and 2 new starts. And the st. swithin has a ls of 17 inches.

I'm thinking about getting one phrag after I get all the plants I just purchased in to see if i can make space. :)

Pictures of my tiny and crowded grow area. It's facing an east window and blocked by a tree. My parents are getting two trees around the perimeter of our house chopped down. I told them they shouldn't the house'll look bare but they're adamant about it. They wanted to take down a nice maple in our front yard too, fortunately, they budged on that one and its staying.

I hope your parents change their minds about chopping down the trees! Not only will the house look bare but will also lose its property value. I love trees, especially the native ones.

Your collection looks great and looks like it is growing.

Thanks for the info on the trees Peter. Told my dad as soon as I read your post.

My tiny collection is growing. I want to put in one phrag lindenii ( I was hooked after I saw the pictures you posted of yours  ) and one more paph. But then I'll have a growing problem when I need to repot plants that are in 3" or 4" pots in to bigger pots. =\

Don't we all know about that problem!

Amen to that

The desire never dimms but room sure disappears and plants have a habit of growing, sometimes really well :)

Welcome to the darkside mate :)

Cheers

Thanks Billie and Paphi!! They will be getting some company very very shortly. I was seriously eyeing the Lindenii but decided not to on my first phrag. To expensive for an experimental first phrag for me. So I'm getting a Wallisii instead.

I got this Bllra Tahoma glacier about two months ago when I first started. I had a big over watering problem and this tahoma glacier was my signal plant that I was doing something wrong. So this bllra basically has no roots and has been sitting in an s/h pot. I guess i was hoping to rescue the plant by trying to put it in s/h.

But, I just took a look at it again today to check resevoir levels. And it's looking mighty shriveled. I actually can't wait for it to bite the dust now. The thing is it also has a new growth and it's shooting out new roots. I guess it'll be a good thing if it survives. But if it doesn't I'll have more room!

The Wallisii will be coming in with a haynaldianum alba seedling.

Also I just just ordered

-Landmark (glaucophyllum 'Sweet' x sanderianum) NBS
-(philippinense x hirsutissimum) NBS
-rothschildianum ('Trinity' AM/RHS x 'Sabah') seedling

and maybe an NBS Iantha Stage (sukhakulii x rothschildianum 'Tenny's' AM/AOS). Once I saw the yellow flowers, I couldn't resist!. I really do hope the cross isn't variable and does come out as yellow and beautiful as the picture. If they do have the Iantha Stage i'll also be getting a BS temptation as a free plant. And if I do get all 5 and the tahoma glacier doesn't bite the dust its going to get shipped out in a heartbeat!

Sry for the long post

The Vera Pellechia is supposed to be "large flowering size" plant. I hope it flowers sooner then later! I found one picture of the flowers online and it was sweet! I hope the plants aren't to variable.

hidden somewhere on the overcrowded table

any suggestions on how i can expand surface is more than welcome.
