Gilda - I have one - I haven't had it for long. I got a division from Piping Rock Orchids. It's sulking a little bit right now because it was divided but judging from the parentage I don't expect it will be that difficult to grow. Do you have one right now?

I would say give it S/H (of course) and lighting somewhere between cattleya and phalaenopsis levels.

Gilda

I have two of them. Plant # 1 bloomed for quite a long time with several flowers. Plant # 2 is a small one from Piping Rock. It has not bloomed yet. Plant # 1 has not yet bloomed again this season but the plant looks great. I transfered it into S/H - PA and I'm watching it closely for a new sheath.

Of all of my Phrags I think this is my favorite. I give it the same conditions as all my other phrags. Water about every 6 days using 1/4 strength MSU fert.

I transfered it to S/H Pa in January and the plant never missed a beat. It adjusted to the S/H very quickly. It is under HPS lights.

These are my notes and a photo of my blooms.

Name: ALBAPURPURATION 'SIR ARTHUR' AM/AOS Plant # 1

Type: Phargmipedium

Parentage: (Dominianum X schlimii- where Domenianum = purchinem X caudatum

Pot Size: 5 inch - - - - - S/H . Transferred into 8 inch S/H -PrimeAgra 1/10/06

Color: Dusky pink almost deep raspberry. Even more beautiful than I expected.

Any Other Info: Division. The bloom is large and several flowers open at once on each inflorescence creating quite a show. BEAUTIFUL.

Time Mine Bloomed: 4/29/05

Hope this helps you.

Here is a photo of my blooms from last year.
