View Full Version : Phrag besseae 'Nick's Choice' x 'Totally Awesome'
Paphraguy May 5th, 2005, 04:09 PM This plant has been in bloom for months and this may be the second last flower on the spike as I do see a bud right behind it, so I thought I should post another photo one more time before the spike is done. The plant has produced a new growth which is now growing quite rapidly.

Paphgirl May 5th, 2005, 05:02 PM Ooh, la! You have been busy this afternoon. Great photo, as usual, Paphraguy!
RickL May 5th, 2005, 05:42 PM You need to get some seeds going on this one Peter.

Paphgirl October 15th, 2005, 02:13 PM (Ha! Now *I'm* the one dredging up old posts...)
Was looking for a 3N Jason Fischer pic and came across this. I got this clone from Sherwood this week and was having trouble finding a photo online. Guess I should have searched the slipper forum first, huh?
Paphraguy October 15th, 2005, 02:25 PM Yes, it is my favorite besseae, also from Sherwood. Here are 2 more pics. Last flowering was multifloral and the flowers were a little larger.

Paphgirl October 15th, 2005, 02:35 PM Cool, thanks Pete (I was missing the second one w/ the bud opening, love that shot!)
I'm trying to go through my database and include photos of crosses I have that haven't yet bloomed, so as to compare later. In addition to the little animations of my own plants.

Paphraguy October 16th, 2005, 06:54 PM Thank you all for the nice comments! This particular bess had different looking flowers when it bloomed for the very first time but the second blooming greatly improved and I'm quite happy with the result. Heather, that besseae photo that you like is in the 2006 SOF Calendar.
