What would be the best phrag to start with. Please let me know. You will probably get 10 different answers if you ask 5 people... I would recommend something that stays fairly small, like Hanne Popow (besseae x schlimii). That is very easy to grow, and easy to come by. Stay away from the species for now, hybrids are always easier. I'd also stay away from the giants, like Sorceror's Apprentice (I have some nice multgrowth ones in gallon nursery cans... and they aren't even full size). The real answer is that the best phrag to start with is the one you like the best... No point growing something you hate. Paphraguy May 4th, 2005, 04:33 PM Hi! Welcome to the slipper forum! I also recommend fast growing Phrag hybrids for beginners. Phrags are usually faster growing than most Paphs. What are you planning to get? RickL May 4th, 2005, 06:08 PM Pearcei is also a piece of cake. It can't be overwatered, stays fairly small. |
