I don't have many non slipper favorites but my Brassia gireoudiana is one that I really like. It is the largest Brassia species with heavily scented long lasting flowers, each flower can reach up to 20 inches long. This species does get large very quickly. Mine bloomed on 4 spikes last year with 20-25 flowers on each spike! The plant got so huge that I could barely lift the whole plant just a year ago.

Any signs of spikes yet this year? Didn't you sell off a div of this last year? Who bought that....is this the one that Garland bought?

I like the pic w/ the buds. I like my Brassia from you also, very cool. We saw several nice Brassias at the Amherst show. BTW, our Psyc. Hildos got another FCC, there is a photo in the magazine.

Yes, it got so big that I sold 4 divs out of the mother plant so you well imagine how big it was. Nope, I don't see any spikes yet but I think it will spike again this year. Very fast growing plant.

Ok, I'll send you the next div. They do get very big quickly but the gigantic flowers are just amazingly fragrant and longlasting. You'll like it!

I have a few Brassia's also. Mine aren't quite as big as yours but the seem to grow fast . Your's looks beautiful :clap2:

I grow all my slippers and other orchids in bark mix. :)
