I can't seem to get a decent picture of any orchids so I'll share one of my favorite spring wildflowers. I've got several Hepatica acutiloba but this one is my favorite. I really like the blue centers of the flowers that develop after they open. When I was a kid these would blanket the sugar maple woods across the road from our house and we'd pick handfuls of them to bring to Mom. Most were white or pink so the blue ones were considered worth fighting over. I was really pleased to see that of the few I got for my garden several were blue!

It is one of my favorite early spring wildflowers too! Hey, I hope you don't mean you aren't going to post any orchid pics. I want to see those Cyps you've got for sure. Please do post them!

So pretty! I don't have those here. Wish we did.
You're doing better than me Shady - I don't have orchids outside anymore! Though, I drove by the arboretum yesterday and if I can possibly find it again without getting utterly lost, I may go do some hunting and see if anything grows there. Probably too citi-fied. :(

Don't worry, Tom. If I get Cyps this year you'll see them. I can shoot outside fine, but inside, when most of my Paphs bloom it's hopeless.

Those are neat Shady. We have Hepatica in TN, but all I've seen are white, and fairly patchy distribution in the woods.
