I can't seem to find these phrags for sale anywhere. Does anyone have a suggestion for me? I wish Ackers sold their plants by mail. They are losing out on nearly $300 I would spend with them if I could order by mail.
Phrag. Firestorm
Phrag. Autumn Fire
Phrag. Twilight
Phrag. Ackers Superstar

I have divisions of Firestorm but live in Canada. I remeber once seeing the Orchids Limited had used Firestorm in a cross but never heard any more about it. Never seen it registered so it must not of worked out for them
I have also seen some of the others up here.
Good luck

I want Firestorm too. Haven't seen it here.
Have you emailed Chuck directly? He had some divisions of Twilight a while back.

Frank,
I may have both Ackers Superstar and Autumn Fire unbloomed plants available. They will be within a year of blooming if I remember correctly.
PM me.

Neo,
You should ask if anyone on the forum lives near ackers and would be willing to go to their place and pick out the plants and ship them to you. There are some very fine people on this forum whom I am sure would be willing to help out.

To respond to Phrag Guy:
We have a plant that we used to call Phrag Firestorm 'Fernbrook' that we backcrossed onto a 4N Phrag. besseae, but after Phrag. warscewiczianum (aka Phrag. popowii) was accepted as a valid species for registration, we realized that as our Phrag. Firestorm was made with Phrag. Super Rubies (as it has Phrag. warscewiczianum in it's background) and not with Phrag. Ruby Slippers, we had to change the name. We changed it to Phrag. Fischer's Fire. The Phrag. Fischers's Fire x besseae was registered as Phrag. Mirage.
Phrag. caudatum x Phrag. besseae = Phrag. Ruby Slippers
Phrag. Ruby Slippers x Phrag. besseae = Phrag. Firestorm
Phrag. warscewiczianum x Phrag. besseae = Phrag. Super Rubies
Phrag. Super Rubies x Phrag. besseae = Phrag. Fischer's Fire
Phrag. Fischer's Fire x Phrag. besseae = Phrag. Mirage.
Phrag. Fischer's Fire and Phrag. Firestorm look very similar, but probably Phrag. Fischer's Fire is a little darker in color.
Hope this cleared things up, and good luck finding those plants!

I am still looking for Firestorm, Autumn Fire and now Rhett Butler. Anyone?

Have you contacted Orchidview yet for Rhett? They made the cross so they may be the best source to ask.
Good luck!

I am in the process of talking to them via email. They said they are going to be updating their phrag list on the website within a couple of weeks. Hopefully they can come up with a Rhett to sell me, otherwise it is back here because I haven't found one anywhere else.
