Hello,
my Phrag besseae flavum has got a spike, but it seems to me its developement is very slower in comparison with other Phrags I have got...
The stem measures about 20 cm, and no buds are still visible into the sheath...is something going wrong with it?

No. Their spikes and buds develop very slowly.

That looks like a typical besseae spike to me.
