i have a mottled leaf paph that has a floppy leaf on the new growth that is coming along. ive checked the roots, they seemed ok, ended up changing medium just in case, i hadnt repotted it since i bought it. The plant in general looks fine. i bought it in bloom from Christmas Tree Shop, late last winter. i think i saw a thread on another forum recently about this problem, but thought id post here, so that the "experts" could help me out! Any comments, suggestions. insider info i should know?

If the plant is healthy, I wouldn't worry so much. Mine have done that and they usually spring right back up. Are you providing plenty of humidity and air flow to your grow area?

I've only really had this problem due to lack of watering (cough - besseae!) However, I realize this is a symptom of many possible issues....good luck Bob!

I read your situation. I had the same problem with my Supersuk. The top leaf Which was growing nice and big all of a sudden drooped for no apparent reason. It had sufficient water and no signs of distress. I just let it be and before long it stood back up again. Right now there is a new bud emerging. Guess the leaf was to heavy on the end.

That's true, my (rare, fragrant) Berenice also has some issues w/ leaves just being heavy that has caused them to bend or appear to flop.
