Hi y'all,
I'm looking for specific times to harvest seed pods from different Paph types for green pod culture. Any web sites or info out there?
Specifically, I have a Paph Meteor with a pod almost 120 days old, and a Paph Pinnochio with a pod 45 days old.
Thanks!

I have heard 6 months minimum, more likely 8-10. If you can look at the pod every day, wait til the green just barely starts to turn yellow and then harvest it and send it off for flasking immediately. If not, I would go with 8 months. Hopefully others with more experience can chime in...

Stephen is fairly with it on times.
I've produced capsules on allot of different species and found that many paphs can go 10 to 14 months before they start to yellow. But multiflorals are much faster and have been as short as 3 to 4 months. Sequentials are kinda in between.
The barbata have always been the longest for me, consistently in the 12 month and greater range.
Can't say much about hybrids without knowing the parentage.

Capsules can be matured in as little as 3 months time. Hirsutissimum takes the longest, from what I understand, at 460+ days.
