I havent been around too much lately. We have been moving. A room in the barn is filled with stacked Cypripedium pots (I'll post a photo when I figure out where the flash is!). But, the first vestige of spring has arrived. As is usually the case, the Cyp formosanum have broken dormancy. It means that action will soon begin all around!

I owe several folks some information and replies. Now that the broadband is up, they will be coming!

Looks fab, and congrats on the move! I hope it will be a good one for you!
(I am facing the same thing at the end of the month and I am overwhelmed!)

Looking good Ron! Mine are just beginning to peek out now. Hey, what's that Phrag I see lurking in the back corner of the shot?

Good luck Heather! Moving all the plants was about as much work as moving the house! At least professionals moved the house; I did the plants but have to acknowledge the invaluable help of our older son who took a week off to fly here to give aid. That made it actually possible to get done!

Ron, did you have to dig up your plants that were naturalized around your house? I'm assuming you had a few.

Hi, I dug many plants from the garden. Some of the Cyp reginae required 36 inch pots. A real chore!

Yay for spring! It can't come soon enough but that also means I'm going to go insane at work. Oh well.
36" pots!?! Holy cow!
I picked up 100 lb. of Turface MVP over the weekend. I hope that's enough to pot up the four tiny Cyps that are snoozing in the crisper drawer.

Very cool! Pardon the pun! I might need to invest and research these still...

Nice pic Ron
Good Luck with the move.
I hope the new place for Your Orchids will be even better :)
Good luck making Your bed Shady. A bit to carry I ´ll bet
They are pritty but I stay away from formosum and jap due to them being so (too) early for me.
Please keep us posted on further development

Is she blooming yet Ron? Mine have just poked out about an inch so far. I can't tell if any will bloom or not. Looks like about three could. Temperatures are the typical topsy turvy ones for March, in the high 60's one day and then down to freezing the next! I usually don't see flowers on these until early April.
