I don't really know whether Michael Jackson is a big guy or not .... However, that MJ like armeniacum do have the largest NS compared with those I bloomed this year ... Almost 11cm ... :D

Great Job Avery.
What's your culture strategy for armenicaum?
Actually armeniacum grow pretty well here and should be able to grow much better in area like california with hugh day night temperature difference. That is the key to success for the cultivation of micranthum and armeniacum. Usually higher humidity in growing season and potted with mixed medium yield good looking plants as well.
If your armeniacum and micranthum still don't bloom for you , try to lower the winter temperature and restrict watering and humidity during winter time. Give more light in winter time can help flowering of mature plants.
Hope it helps ...
Sincerely, Avery

I got mine to bloom this spring too for the first time. I wanted to see if your culture differs much from mine.
This winter I supplemented lighting during the cold (50's) time.
