Wow! The color really goes back under the lip, doesn't it! And I really like the fuzz shot, but that's just how I am. 8)

Very nice! I love the close-up of the fuzziness in the last photo. Beautiful, cute little species. Avery, what's the leafspan on this plant? Just curious.

Don't think all vietnamense flowers look the same ... This is a selected sibbling cross of the species made some time ago in Germany and I am really happy to see they all bloom with good quality.

take a look at a bad example of the species ...

Avery, what kind of photo equipment are you using? Camera, lens, etc. Do you have these photos in other formats?

Actually I do't mind "bad" colouration as I think it adds some contrast to plain looking solid colours - that's a personal preferrence. But of course, it would be marked down during judging because it doesn't comply to the standard colouration.

What I am using is a Olympus C5060 only .. Aperture Priority but I can use the smallest aperture value owning to dim daylight while I was taking the photo ... That's why the depth of field looked so shallow ...

I can't wait until my baby one is blooming size...that first one is incredible. How big is the flower compared with the other one?

Jon, I go out and have a measure of the NS of both. The red one 11cm and 12cm for the pale one.

I will expect much bigger flowers next time they bloom. THese are all first blooms on plants with 16cm leaf span ...
