Good day all.... :-dance:

I would like to know if the "Phrag Patti MacHale" needs more light than Paphs in order to bloom?

Mine is by a shaded west window where I keep all my Phals and Paphs.

I have a thing in my home that if the orchid does not flower in 2 years here my home is not the place for it and I donate them to our orchid society.

:D

I would say in general as a rule, phrags need more light than most phals and paphs. Light closer to Cattleya light is better for phrags.

I agree with Tadd. A west window is probably OK, but not shaded. Check the color of your leaves. They should be a medium green. If they are a dark green, a forest green, the plant is probably not getting enough light. It will grow OK, but not bloom.
