I contrived a giant humidity tray out of a 2' x 4' flood tray from a hydroponics website, plastic garden fence, old 3 1/4" plastic pots, and 1/4" copper tubing i had lying around:

Awesome! I can't wait until I am off for the Summer, so I have time to try projects like this!

Clever! But if you have the tray so packed with plants, how can it offer them humidity???

Nice job Stephen, I am sure the plants will benefit from the extra humidity

Hrm i suppose it is more a make-watering-easier tray than a humidity tray... But whatever works.

With humidity tray, do you water regularly? Or does your watering schedule changes.
I have most of mine on humidity tray also and the pot seems to be always moist. I use semi-clear pot so I can see the moisture inside all the time.
For my medium I use hydroton+lava rock for plants that like it on the dry side and sphag moss for those that like more moisture. Both never go dry or dry enough that needs watering.

Stephen, did you actually measure humidity about one foot above the tray ? How high is the reading ? You cannot have diminished your hygrometry anyway...! :clap2:
