Hi

look at the pic of a particular variety of Magnolia grandiflora, named "Little gem": it is a very compact-growing magnolia, able to flower when very young (40/50 cm. high). My plant is 1.5 m and blooms a lot.

Looks great! I think that clone is US based and it's nice to see them grow as far Europe.

Hi

ya, I know: this is a "Proudly USA-made variety" of Magnolia grandiflora :D

In the North of Italy, especially near the lakes named "Garda" and "Maggiore" or in a Region called "Veneto", there are outstanding specimes of this lovely Magnolia: an american friend of mine told me they could be considered big as the most ancient M. grandiflora grown in USA.

American Magnolias enjoy the italian climate :D And you?

Take a look to the islands closed to me where there are the most beautiful specimens in Italy (if you can, come to Italy to see our landscape from North to South, to eat our food etc.):

Thank you, friends!
