As you know I live in the Philippines which has only 2 seasons wet and dry.
I recently got micranthum and malipoense and Im a bit worried if I can
rebloom these plants given that in their home environment they get a
definite winter period to initiate flower spikes. Has any body grown these
plants in more less tropical conditions and successfully flowered them? Say in
Florida maybe??

I would think you should have no problem with those two species in your environment but I don't know the answer because I also got those two less than a year ago, so I can't really give any suggestion.

Micranthum definitely is built for cold winters. It has "frost guard" hooks built into the leaves. However, I think you could get it to bloom if you could at least give it some time around 55 in the winter. It also (like armeniacunm) likes bright light during its winter cold spell.

I think malipoense will be even more forgiving than micranthum in both the temp and lighting issues.

Are these seedlings or divisions? I'd suspect, that as these paphs are no longer as "new" as they used to be, some selective breeding has gone on selecting for ease of bloom....and ease of bloom usually includes milder temperatures...Take care, Eric Muehlbauer
