how often does a Don Wimber bloom? is it once a year or will it bloom more frequently after they reach a decent size?

I have one that bloomed for the first time in march last year, and this time it started blooming in December. I keep forgetting to take a photo so here's a not-so-great pic of the first flower from last year:

I haven't been treating it too well so the plan is to upgrade its seat this year.

Once it is matures with many growths then it can bloom anytime and maybe even stay in bloom for months with multiple spikes.

Thanks - I was hoping that was the case. Definitely giving it better care this year.

I love the flower!
My Don Wimber 4N is in spike now, and I am awaiting a bloom. I got it from a friend and it has 4 huge growths. I have not seen my plant in flower yet and I am curious to see how many blooms I am going to get out of this plant. My friend said that the plant had bloomed for 6 months last year... That would be nice! I hope my cat does not take a fancy to its tender buds.

I cannot wait to see! I just recently got a 4N Don Wimber from Orchids Ltd.
I am anxious to see how it turns out! Your plant will help keep me in a patient mood, I hope!
