Hi,
I know Phal. violacea is generally now regarded as Phal. belina. My tag however still reads Phal. violacea var. corulea. I'm assuming that it should be changed to Phal. belina var. corulea, but I wasn't sure if, because it is a different variety, it still was included in the name change.
Thanks if you can help sort this out.

It depends if you have Phal bellina or violacea..........Basically bellina is the Borneo form and violacea is from Malaysia. Most of the coerulea forms are actually violacea and the color covers most of the flower. In bellina the color is primarily in the lateral sepals.

Okay, that's exactly the answer I was looking for!
Here's a photo of mine, and since the tag reads violacea var. coerulea and has color throughout the flower, I think I'll stick with that.
