Paphgirl April 8th, 2005, 04:58 PM This is my tj's paph at the office. Supersuk x Raisin Pie. I had a bit of sun this afternoon, so although it isn't fully open, I took a couple pics. I compared this to the photo of Garland's, and it is super different, is this because of the vini factor? I know next to nothing about these guys, but this reminds me a lot of the barbatum posted earlier...

Linda, does your's look like this? If so, I guess that answers the question. I think these are plants from OZ - did I hear they did a lot of selling to places like TJ's and IKEA and the like?
thistle April 8th, 2005, 05:35 PM Mine looks very close to this, I bought it when it was almost in full bloom, the flowers have 2 spots on the bottom part of the sepals & 5 on the top, I'm hoping the other bud will bloom, I've had it about a week & a half-the tag says, Supersuk "Eureka" AM/AOS x Paph. Raisin Pie "Hsinying") x sib, the leaves are beautiful-very leopard-spotted...
Park Bear April 9th, 2005, 04:41 PM I just got a TJ paph today and I'm thinking of taking it to work also. Mine looks similar, but darker, Black Cherry x Eric Meng

I don't think that particular cross is from OZ (or I would probably have it already, myself...). The Raisin Pie "Hsinying" doesn't sound like one of their clonal names. But who knows. I'd like to see a picture of this when it is fully open.

No, you are absolutely right, in looking around after I posted, I found a listing (somewhere) and it is an Asian source. Can't recall who.
I will post a photo tomorrow, was out of state today, so don't know what the progress has been at the office over the weekend.
I really like having some not-so-special, but still cheery plants with me at work and it was a great way to make some more space at home! :D
