View Full Version : Looking for fairrieanum hybrids
TADD April 6th, 2005, 07:38 PM Howdy Y'all I am looking for many primary fairrieanum hybrids, but especially Paph Bailey Kalina (tigrinum x fairrieanum). If anyone has a source for these or a spare plant for trade or sale let me know. THANKS!
Tadd
Jon in SW Ohio April 6th, 2005, 07:48 PM I wouldn't mind finding one of those myself. I would try Candor Orchids. Post a source if you find one.

paphreek April 6th, 2005, 09:26 PM Just saw a picture of one, and I want it, too. Very pretty! If anyone's got tigrinum pollen, I've got a fairly nice fairrieanum that is big enough to carry a pod.

(shhhh, we don't talk about the tigrinum. It is sensitive...I hope it didn't hear any of this!)
if my sheath ever wakes up, I'll let y'all know....
paphreek April 6th, 2005, 10:07 PM As far as I know, there are legal tigrinum plants in the U.S. Check ANTEC's website: http://www1.storehost.com/stores/store.xfm?Store_id=653&Page_Id=17&categ_id=7&parent_ids=0
Jon in SW Ohio April 6th, 2005, 10:37 PM Tigrinum is legal....just some of us have it in spike, and for what ever reason when you mention that it's going to bloom, it blasts. Mine has only blasted once, and I think the crown got wet then, but part of their culture seems to involve knocking on wood lol.
